If improving your financial literacy is one of your New Year’s resolutions, Trinity Valley Community College – Adult and Continuing Education (TVCC ACE) offers the perfect course to help you get started.
The Financial Literacy: Personal Finance, Retirement, Guidelines, and Terms course is designed to assist individuals with personal finance management, retirement planning, property ownership savings, and investment strategies.
Instructor David Deas, who retired in 2015 after holding executive roles at AT&T and several start-up companies, brings extensive experience in financial management, mergers & acquisitions, and retirement planning. Having navigated his own successful transition into retirement, David has spent decades evaluating investment options and managing assets. With ten years of retirement experience, he offers a unique perspective on financial planning, both from the investing side and the practical steps of entering retirement.
This course simplifies financial concepts to help individuals estimate retirement needs and understand common investment products and terms. Whether you’re just starting your retirement planning or are nearing retirement, this course is designed to help you better communicate with your financial planner and navigate the complex financial landscape.
