The Trinity Valley Community College Theatre Department is thrilled to present The Book Club Play.
Prepare for an evening filled with laughter and literary fun in this clever comedy about books and the people who love them. At the center of it all is Ana, a perfectionist with an idyllic life: a supportive husband, a dream job, and her pride and joy, Book Club. But when the group becomes the subject of a documentary film, their close-knit discussions about life and literature start taking a hilariously chaotic turn under the unflinching eye of the camera. Throw in a bold new member and an unpredictable mix of books—from Moby Dick and The Age of Innocence to Twilight and The Da Vinci Code—and what follows is a delightful collision of personalities and pandemonium. Filled with witty references to iconic books and film tropes, this lively comedy explores contemporary culture with humor and insight.
“Come out for a fun time,” Director of Theatre Craig Lee exclaimed. “You are going to be laughing and loving it!”
