TVCC Dual Credit Student Awarded $40,000 Scholarship to UT Tyler

Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC) proudly celebrates Dual Credit student Amaya Richmond, who has been awarded a $40,000 scholarship to join the prestigious Honors Program for Pre-Law at the University of Texas at Tyler.
She was selected as one of only 20 students for UT Tyler’s competitive Honors College, a distinction achieved from a pool of over 500 applicants, with only 100 invited to interview.
Amaya, a standout student at Terrell High School, will graduate this May with top honors—earning her Associate’s Degree from TVCC a full two weeks before receiving her high school diploma. Her academic excellence, dedication, and perseverance exemplify the spirit of TVCC Cardinals, and we are incredibly proud of her achievements.
