Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC) President Dr. Jason Morrison and The University of Texas at Tyler (UT Tyler) President Dr. Julie V. Philley officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Oct. 31 to establish a new Co-Enrollment program, providing a streamlined path for students to achieve both associate and bachelor’s degrees.
Through this collaboration, students at TVCC can simultaneously work towards their receiving their degrees while saving both time and money. The Co-Enrollment agreement offers TVCC students several advantages, including free application assistance, personalized advising to support students at both institutions, customized degree plans to meet their educational and careers goals, and application fee waivers.
“Our partnership with UT Tyler exemplifies TVCC's commitment to providing students with pathways to success," Dr. Morrison said. “This agreement offers our students an invaluable and accessible opportunity to complete their bachelor’s degree at an affordable cost. This partnership truly highlights the opportunities we provide for our students. Everything we do is for our students.”
TVCC students participating in the Co-Enrollment program will be able to take courses at UT Tyler while completing their associate degree at TVCC, creating a seamless academic experience between the two institutions, and making a bachelor’s degree more accessible.
The co-enrollment program will be offered to students starting fall 2025.
