TVCC Invests $2.6 Million in Campus-Wide Renovations
Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC) continues its commitment to excellence by announcing $2.6 million in system-wide renovations, a transformative initiative aimed at improving and upgrading facilities across its campuses.
“Our goal is to make our campuses welcoming places where students feel a sense of pride and belonging,” said TVCC President Dr. Jason Morrison. “We’re committed to providing exceptional facilities that excite students, support student success and attract new students to TVCC.”
At the Jan. 27 Board of Trustees meeting, the board approved Phase Two of the Capital Reserve Projects, which includes a comprehensive list of upgrades designed to create safer, more inviting, and resource-rich environments for students, faculty, and staff, while addressing critical needs.
Renovations will include:

Athens Campus:

Entry point upgrades, window replacements (tinted), electrical line burial, and new signage for South and West Halls.

Exterior painting and sealing walkways at Northwest Dorm

Roof restoration on the Gibbs-Academic Building and roof replacement for the Archie and June Dennis Education Center (formerly Math-Journalism Building.)

Signage for Archie and June Dennis Education Center and Athens marquee

Sealing windows and cladding the Cardinal Gym.

Upgrades to the Welding and Automotive buildings, including new roofing, wall sheets, insulation, roll-up doors, and enhanced fencing and sheeting around both buildings.

Interior repairs, exhaust fans, pipe simulators, forklift access, and drainage improvements at the Welding Building.

Restroom and saferoom construction for rodeo students at the TVCC Ranch.

Hay barn on the TVCC Ranch.

Relocation of the E-Sports studio

Infrastructure utility mapping and grounds improvement (Phase Two of ADA ramps and sidewalk repairs).

“These projects reflect our commitment to ensuring every pathway and program is supported with the resources needed for success,” Morrison added.
The improvements are part of a long-term vision, that will include five phases, to make TVCC a premier educational destination. By phases four and five, Morrison hopes all essential renovations will be complete, allowing TVCC Operations to focus on preventative maintenance. From modernized dorm rooms to enhanced learning spaces, the updates will enrich campus life and inspire pride among current and prospective students.
